I want a puppy I want a puppy I want a puppy I want a puppy.
Ever since I went to see Fie – who, you’ll remember, came to visit and is responsible for the surfeit of Belgian chocolate cluttering my apartment – and her gorgeous puppy, Mirre (below), I’ve had the idea in my head, and every time I see a cute dog walking down the road, or in the lifts at my apartment, the temptation returns.
The problem is, I’d like an intelligent, fit, friendly dog: most likely a collie. Unfortunately, they take work and I’m very irresponsible, and like flying around the place, which don’t fit well with anything high-maintenance like a needy puppy (or a girlfriend.)
Given that I’m now staying in New York indefinitely, which is the closest to a long-term plan I’ve ever had, I’ve almost managed to convince myself that this is a good idea. But, not quite. Not yet.
So, keep photos of your gorgeous puppies to yourself. Don’t tempt me.
